Who we are

A plant contractor,
not a service call

Plant Wide Services is an electrical and instrumentation contractor. Our crews work inside operating units — pulling and setting motors, building and landing switchgear, checking loops and calibrating instruments — in the refining, chemical and oil & gas facilities along the Houston Ship Channel and the towns around it. Tank farms and terminals on the same corridor are part of that work as well.

We take the scopes that need a crew that knows what a motor control center is and how a loop is proved, not just a license and a set of hand tools.

01

We walk it before we price it

A scope taken off a description is a guess. Where the unit allows it we look at what is actually installed — routing, terminations, existing conditions — and price against that, inside your permit and access constraints.

02

Craft, not headcount

Plant Wide Services runs its own crews and its own test gear. The people who show up at your gate are ours, under our supervision, not a brokered badge from a list.

03

One supervision chain

Electrical and instrumentation crews working the same unit under supervision that is on site — so a question about a loop or a feeder gets answered at the equipment, not relayed through an office.

04

The paperwork is part of the job

Loop folders, calibration records, marked drawings and punch lists are turned over at the end. What your maintenance system holds should match what is really in the field.

The two halves of the company

Electrical, and instrumentation

Both trades under one roof and, most days, on the same unit. That is what makes a scope like a shutdown closable by a single contractor.

Crews & supervision

Who shows up on site

Field hands who have worked units before, and a supervisor who is on site with them.

Electrical crews

Industrial electricians for substations, switchgear, motor control, feeders, raceway and terminations — install, repair and maintenance on plant systems.

Instrumentation crews

Instrument technicians for transmitter and analyzer work, control valves, loop checks, calibration and documentation.

Motor crews

Removal, rigging, setting, termination and the circuit checks that let a motor be started for the first time with confidence.

Supervision on site

Every crew runs under supervision that is physically on the job — not a phone number at the office — so questions get answered at the unit.

Working with us

What we hand your contractor group

Getting a contractor through the gate is usually the slowest part of a small scope. This is the paperwork we bring to it, and we send it early.

Certificate of insurance

General liability and workers compensation certificates, with additional-insured and waiver wording as your contract requires, issued by our carrier before mobilization.

W-9 and company information

A current W-9, remit-to details and the company contact for accounting, so a purchase order can be set up without a delay at the end of the job.

Written safety program

Our safety program and JSA/JHA process, provided for review by your contractor safety group during onboarding or bid qualification.

Site orientation, badges and gate access

Crews complete your site orientation and badge requirements. Tell us the training standard and we will confirm which hands already hold it before the start date.

TWIC and terminal access

For terminals and port facilities, tell us which credentials the gate requires and we will staff the job with hands who hold them.

Bid and qualification packages

If your procurement group needs a written package — scope, staffing plan, schedule basis — we will put one together for the job you are pricing.

If your facility requires a document we have not listed, tell us during onboarding and we will confirm what we can provide before crews are scheduled.

Common questions

What plant-side people ask us

Yes. Plant Wide Services works inside live units, on process and utilities systems, and coordinates with your operations, maintenance and EHS groups on permits, isolation and unit constraints before we mobilize.

Both, and often on the same scope. Electrical work — substations, switchgear, motor control centers, feeders, raceway and power distribution — alongside instrumentation work such as loop checks, calibration, transmitter and analyzer installation and control valve setup.

Yes. Motor removal, rigging, setting, termination and the motor circuit checks that follow are one of the scopes we are called for most, and we take substation and switchgear installation, replacement and maintenance work from the utility tie through the unit.

Houston, Pasadena, Deer Park and La Porte, including the Ship Channel industrial corridor and the refineries, chemical plants, terminals and tank farms around them.

Send us the scope and the window. We will tell you honestly what crew we can commit to, and staff supervision along with the field hands so the work is managed on site.

Insurance certificates, site orientation, badge and training requirements are worked through with your contractor onboarding group during mobilization so crews are cleared before the start date.

We take applications from industrial electricians, instrument technicians, helpers and field supervision. Current openings are on the careers page, and a resume sent through the form reaches us directly.
